Fly Control in Oviedo
IPM-Based Fly Control for Oviedo & Seminole & Orange County Since 2006
Central Florida’s warm, humid climate creates year-round fly pressure, with populations peaking during the rainy season. Oviedo’s mix of residential neighborhoods, nearby lakes, and proximity to agricultural areas means properties here face multiple attractant conditions at once. Flies aren’t just a nuisance. They carry bacteria and pathogens that can put food safety and household health at risk.
At Miller Pest Solutions, we’ve been delivering fly control throughout Seminole and Orange Counties since 2006. Our licensed and insured technicians follow Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles on every service, locating and eliminating breeding sources rather than treating adult flies on the surface. Our treatments are kid-friendly and pet-friendly, and we don’t use high-pressure sales tactics. We can explain your options, answer your questions, and let you decide.

Common Fly Species in the Oviedo Area
Central Florida’s warm, moist conditions allow several fly species to thrive, and identifying exactly which species is present matters because each one breeds differently and requires a different control strategy. Our technicians confirm the species before recommending any treatment plan.
- House Flies: Attracted to food waste and garbage, house flies carry harmful bacteria including Salmonella and E. coli and deposit them on food preparation surfaces. Florida’s heat accelerates their life cycle, so infestations grow faster here than in cooler climates.
- Fruit Flies: These tiny insects multiply rapidly near ripening produce, sugary spills, and fermenting organic matter. Once established indoors, their populations can be difficult to reduce without addressing every food source.
- Drain Flies: Drain flies breed in the organic biofilm that accumulates inside pipes and garbage disposals. Surface sprays don’t reach their breeding sites, so targeted sanitation is required to break the cycle.
- Horse Flies: Common near agricultural and equestrian properties around Oviedo, horse flies deliver painful bites and can be difficult to deter without addressing the conditions that draw them to a property.
We handle fly control for both residential and commercial properties throughout Seminole and Orange Counties. Correct species identification is the foundation of every plan we build.
Our Fly Control Process
Spraying visible adult flies without addressing breeding sites provides only temporary relief. Eggs and larvae continue developing in drains, crevices, and decaying matter until the next generation emerges. Our process targets the full reproductive cycle, not just the adults in the air.
- Thorough Property Inspection: Our technicians evaluate indoor and outdoor spaces to locate hidden breeding sources and confirm the species present. We look in the areas homeowners and businesses typically overlook.
- Customized Treatment Plans: No two infestations are identical. We build a plan specific to your property and the species involved rather than applying a one-size-fits-all spray.
- Source Reduction: We eliminate the moisture, decaying matter, and organic attractants drawing flies to the property. Disrupting the reproductive cycle is what can produce lasting results.
- IPM-Based Applications: All product applications follow Integrated Pest Management principles and prioritize the safety of children and pets. We use environmentally responsible methods and explain exactly what we’re applying and why.
- Sanitation Recommendations: After treatment, we share specific steps you can take to maintain a less hospitable environment between service visits.
Our satisfaction guarantee means that if a fly problem isn’t resolved, we return and make it right. That commitment applies to every residential and commercial property we serve. Free estimates are available before any work begins.

What are your common pest control services?
- MOSQUITO – During your first mosquito control treatment, we’ll apply a final feed mosquito bait to your property. This bait knocks down the mosquitoes on your property in preparation for our next treatment two weeks later, which is when we install the In2Care System.
- BEDBUG – Miller Pest Solutions uses Aprehend® to treat bed bug infestations. Aprehend® is an all-natural biopesticide made up of fungal spores. We apply the solution in narrow bands where bed bug activity is likely to occur. When bed bugs cross through it, they pick up the spores and transfer them to other bed bugs. Aprehend® eliminates bed bugs within four to ten days of initial contact. It is also safe for your family and pets, as well as the environment.
- RESIDENTIAL PEST PREVENTION – Only after we perform a complete and comprehensive assessment of your pest situation, do we customize a program for your home that will fit around your schedule and the types of pest problems normally found in your environment. We can remove and prevent pest infestations in your home.
